| Our fifth year
participating in the NS Open Farm day saw a steady stream of
traffic through the parking lot, along with brisk business
inside... |
| We moved some of the
beef cattle right up next to the barn for the day, which caught
the eye and camera of Global Television reporter. |
| Open Farm Day is
great for families with kids; these young visitors enjoyed
meeting the beef herd, petting Cassie the Calf, and of course an
ice cream break! |
| Our 'info lounge'
provided a warm spot to relax, enjoy hot coffee or tea and take
photos. Visitors could sample our products, browse the
displays to learn about our farm and even pick up a few
souvenirs when signing our questbook. |
| We're proud of our
20 years of farming; various displays promote how we've
developed the land over the decades, as well as our family of
fine suppliers. |
| Sarah and other staff
were kept busy serving local customers and taking 'come from
aways' on tour, visiting the livestock and the various
buildings. |
| Our 'pick a pumpkin' display was
popular... |
but the definite star of the day
was Cassie the Calf! |
'Hey, where did everybody
disappear to?" |
