About us...

family owned, family operated...

Jim and John as young tykes...Withrow’s Farm Market and Meat Shop is a family run business. The business was started in the mid 70’s by our parents, John & Mary and Jim & Eloise Withrow. In 1990, theirs sons, Bill, Harold, Bruce & Brian took over management of the farm and farm market business.

Our home farm is located in Rawdon, which is also home to all our families, as well as the location of our first Withrow’s Farm Market.

Jim and John Withrow as young tykes...

In 1985, we opened our second Farm Market in Belnan, and two years later in 1987 opened our third market in Mount Uniacke. These markets both include a large fully stocked Garden Centre. Hours of operation are daily 9:00am – 9:00pm and our season runs from spring to Christmas.

In 2005 we expanded our Belnan location to include a Provincially Inspected Meat Shop.  Our Meat Shop features our own naturally raised beef from our home farm in Rawdon. Calves are born from December – February and August - September and then raised to market weight using our own home grown feed, which includes silage, hay and grains. There are no growth hormones used.  Each year our farm participates in the Provincial Open Farm Day and we encourage you to visit our farm at that time. This year was Sunday, September 20th.
