This Winter our Belnan Rocky Knoll Meat Shop is open for your convenience from 9:00am to 6:00pm Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays.
Enjoy all our regular meats and associated products, plus a selection of Nova Scotia produce from the Market such as apples and winter vegetables. The cold months are the best time for warming stews, hearty soups and
sizzling stir frys!

In 2005 we expanded our Belnan location to include a Provincially Inspected Meat Shop, open Monday to Sunday, 9:00am to 9:00pm. We're pleased to offer our customers premium quality meats in addition to the fresh produce they have come to associate with Withrow's.
Our Rocky Knoll Meat Shop features our own naturally
raised beef from our home farm in Rawdon. Each year we
plan some event at the Belnan Branch and we encourage you to visit our
farm at that time.
Calves are born from December – February and August-September and then raised to market weight using our own home grown feed, which includes silage, hay and grains such as corn. There are no growth hormones or any outside food by-products used.
After
our beef is brought to the shop, we age it for 14 days, then you can
have our butcher custom cut the steaks or roasts just the way you
like. Customers just can't believe the difference in the flavour of local farm beef versus the beef they
get in the chain stores.
We sell our beef by the side or the quarter.
As well, our various freezer and BBQ Package Deals are very popular.
Two items that are extremely popular with our customers are:

Our frozen lean hamburger patties (box of 20) which are perfect for the BBQ.

Our butcher Gordie's own famous Hants County Corned Beef.
Withrow's meat shop also provides fresh local pork and poultry to our customers. You can purchase Nova Scotia pork by the chop, the roast, the full loin, or by the side.
Our Maritime
poultry is outstanding. Don't forget to order our fresh, free-range turkey for Thanksgiving and
Christmas and find out for y
ourself what your neighbors are raving about.
We are also a distributor for The Pork Shop of Tatamagouche. We carry a full line of their tasty sausages, smoked bacon, and all the other pork treats you used to have to drive an hour to get!
Another popular line we now carry is the locally made cheese and yogurts by Fox Hill Cheese House of Port Williams, Nova Scotia. You can even stop by for a piece of Brothers Pepperoni!
